BEAZLEY FIELD GRANDSTANDS
In preparation for the
Indigenous Games.
For the North American Indigenous Games originally planned for 2020,
this project was designed to provide new grandstands for Beazley Fields
track and soccer pitch.
The facility hosts a multitude of required sports amenities to support full
capacity during the games, including an announcer’s booth, locker rooms for both teams and officials, bleachers, and washrooms to serve up to 600 visitors.
It is finished with durable materials to withstand a lifetime of abuse, constructed from concrete block and two types of metal cladding. It was also designed
in pursuit of Rick Hansen Accessibility Certification.
Due to COVID-19 the Indigenous games were postponed, but this project
is now complete and prepared to host visitors from across
North America in the near future
